Professional performing resume/teaching experience: 3 years teaching experience
Why I love teaching: Teaching brings me so much joy as I get to see my students grow and learn more about themselves. Being able to create a visual story through choreography and have it come to life is wonderful. It is such a rewarding feeling when I come to class, help my students through their struggles and see them succeed!
How dance has changed my outlook on life: Dancing has showed me the importance of dedication and committment, how to balance my time, work with others, as well as myself and the reward of working hard.
Best advice you’ve ever been given or advice you shareware your students: I’ve been told: “Never say ‘I can’t.’ You always can if you put your mind to it and work hard.” This is something I apply to my everyday life, as well as what I tell my students now.
Favourite choreographers: One of my favourite dances is “Like Real People Do” choreographed by Travis Wall and danced by Jessica & Casey from SYTYCD.
First dance performance piece: My first dance performance was a ballet piece, and I was a blue butterfly!
