Desiree Bortolussi
Dance Instructor
Miss Desiree began her dance training at The Canadian School of Ballet here in Kelowna, BC. Under the direction of Mel Brown and Lori Larson, Desiree fell in love with dancing, especially ballet. Through her 13 years at CSB, Desiree attended many prestigious summer intensives in Toronto, Boston, Cincinnati, Calgary, and Banff. She also was the winner of the BC Kiwanis Provincial Festival’s Senior Ballet category.
Desiree always dreamed of becoming a professional dancer and her dreams came true in 2012 when she was offered an apprenticeship with Ballet Kelowna. Since then, she has been a company member from 2013-present.
Desiree began teaching at Creator’s in 2013, igniting a new passion for sharing her love and commitment to dance to her students. Teaching has been a rewarding and challenging experience for her and she learns something new everyday.
Desiree’s greatest achievement is turning her love of dance and performing into a career.
